Daniel P. Francis, MPSE
Supervising Dialogue Editor
Dan is an award-winning post-production audio professional with over 150 games and dozens of TV, Film, and Documentary projects under his belt. A graduate of the Middle Tennessee State’s Audio Production program, he started his audio career in the recording studios of Nashville. In 2008, he moved to Los Angeles and changed his professional focus to post-production sound. An influential internship at Danetracks spearheaded that shift to post sound, and the rest is history.
Over 15 years later Dan has worked on hundreds gaming projects as an external audio partner, helping to facilitate dialogue’s prominence in game audio with partners such as 2K Games, Activision, Capcom, EA, Gearbox, Gunfire Games, Microsoft, Naughty Dog, Nintendo, Respawn, Square Enix, Sony, Valve, Warner Bros Games, and many more.
Dan has found his niche in game dialogue editorial, creating pipelines for dialogue production from pre-production to final delivery & asset implementation. Methods tailored to meet client requests, budgets, and deadlines with fully documented workflows. In addition to a variety of dialogue processes, he is also adept at field recording, voice over / ADR recording, and foley cueing, recording, and editing.
Dan has been with PCAP for over 6 years and relishes his roll in helping bring excellence in game dialogue to PCAP’s partners.
Outside of the audio world, Dan can be found enjoying the outdoors with his dogs, family, and friends- hiking, fishing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing. He is also an avid gamer and is hooked on playing hockey and curling.
